Children's Ministry

The quality of our Children’s Ministry is dependent on the quality and faithfulness of our volunteer teachers and staff.  We are continually investing time and resources so that our volunteers are equipped and empowered to meet the needs of children.

I Corinthians 3:10-11 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation; and another builds on it, but let each one take heed how he builds on it.  For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Our Vision is to be a biblically functioning community of believers who teach, model and invest in the lives of children so they will choose to become Christ followers.  BabyLand and KidzWorld are part of something important—leading little people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Every team member shows the love of Christ to those they invest and serve.

Our Purpose is to support the family in building a spiritual foundation in the life of a child. That in God’s timing, each child would accept a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.  BabyLand and KidzWorld are dynamic and innovative.  At the core are sets of values that are imbedded in every decision we make.

Parents trust us with their most precious possessions, their children.  Children thrive in an environment where they feel safe emotionally, physically and spiritually.  Our ministry volunteers are committed to providing a safe and secure place where children can learn about Jesus.

Matthew 18:14
Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Child Centered
Our ministry staff and volunteers must look through the eyes of each child and create a ministry that reaches, teaches and loves children.

I Corinthians 9:22 To the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak.  I have become all things to all men, that I by all means save some.

Biblically Based
Our ministry lessons will be inspired by the Word of God and taught with creative and innovative methods so children will experience and learn.

2 Timothy 3:15-16  And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

Application Oriented
Each Bible lesson taught has a personal application that is relevant to the life of a child.

Psalm 119:11  Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Relational
Children in our ministry have a growing sense of belonging and feel welcome and wanted.  This is best accomplished in a small group atmosphere.

Matthew 10:42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.

Fun
Our ministry provides an environment where learning about Jesus Christ and having fun go hand-in-hand.  We want children to be excited about our ministry and come back week after week.

Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Excellence
The commitment to excellence in our ministry is the key to honoring God.  Each team member must first be fully committed to serving with excellence.

Colossians 3:23  And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.
