Student Ministry

The teen and pre-teen students of today are facing issues that many of their
parents never faced. At Temple, we have created a student ministry that
provides a place where students are challenged to really own the claims of
Christ for themselves, not just because their parents do. It's a place
where students can be influenced by their peers in a positive way, and learn
to become mature, reproducing followers of Jesus. Students are not the
church of tomorrow, they are the church today! Because of this, we give
them the tools they need to grow, serve and lead their generation. Axxis
Student ministries goal is to raise up a generation so committed to
following Christ by loving God and their neighbors that their lives
literally revolve around Christ, hence the name "Axxis".

 

Sunday Morning | Sunday Night | Wednesday Night | Current Events

 

On Sunday mornings, our students gather downstairs in the Youth Center from
9:30-10:35.  Our student band usually leads in a few songs to get our hearts and minds focused on God, then we break up into Middle and High School classes where students interact with God's Word in a practical way.

Sunday evenings Sr. High meets every other Sunday night for discipleship small groups.  These groups meet at Pastor Ken's house in Pueblo West from 6:15-7:45.  A ride from the church is available at 6:00.

Wednesday night During the school year, every Wednesday night kicks off at 6 pm in our Youth Center where students can play pool, foosball, table tennis, video games or just hang out with friends. Our Underground Cafe' serves up the finest specialty Coffee drinks, Italian Sodas, Frappio's, and soft drinks all at very reasonable prices.  In addition, there's always something FREE to eat!
At 6:45 our Wednesday night program "RPM" cranks up with some crazy activities, great worship, and a relevant message that both encourages and challenges students.

Feb. 5 - Compassion Cafe for Sr. High and College Age students.  All proceeds from this night of hanging out go towards Haiti disaster relief efforts. Nachos $1, pop, coffee drinks & friends - sounds like a great night!  7-11pm

Feb. 5 Middle School "Teen Night" at the YMCA 6-9pm  Free for YMCA members, $5 for non-members.  Drop off and pick up at the Y. 

Feb. 19-21 Winter Camp at Horn Creek $140

March 14 - Axxis Bowling night

April 23-24 "La Vida Pura" Axxis Purity event
