Worship & Arts

Temple understands the Biblical commands to worship and proclaim our Christian faith through music.  We offer persons of all ages opportunities to sing their faith and to learn how better to praise their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We are constantly looking for worship leaders, not just singers or band members.  If this describes you, we would love for you to visit one of our rehearsals. 

Musicians and Instrumentalists

• The adult choir is a large group with a warm, accepting, family atmosphere where you can experience inspirational worship as well as encouragement, prayer support, and find friends.  The adult rehearsals are Sunday afternoons.  Please check the bulletin for current times and locations.  Come and visit any time; you do not have to be a choir member to come to practices.  The requirements for a choir member are not complicated:  You must be at least 16 years of age, have a commitment to God, to the Music Ministry and to Temple Baptist Church.  You do not have to be an accomplished soloist or be able to read music to join the choir!

• Our Worship Team consists of singers and band members who sacrifice time to present an opportunity to see God work.  We have the privilege of working with many musicians who have decided to give their gifts to God’s service.  If worship originates in the heart, our effectiveness as worship musicians increases within our heart and spirit as much as in our talent.  Practicing and honing our skills will allow us to function freely in the dual role of “musician/worshiper.”  Being conscious of our responsibility spiritually to the opportunity we have prepares us to use our gifts.  If God has given you a desire to serve in this area, please let us know.  We are always looking for new people to help us in this ministry. 

Sound/Lighting/Video - In our Worship & Arts there is a tremendous amount of work that goes into the graphical, video, and sound part of all that we do.  There is extensive sound and video planning that goes into all of our services and special performances.  Lighting also plays a major part in the entire event.  With this brings the opportunity for a whole new set of people to use their gifts in a variety of ministry opportunities. 

Drama - Our Drama department has several projects that take place during the year.  Along with many Sundays having a directed scene to present a specific point as a part of the message, this area has an integral part of special events we have each year.  If you have a desire to use these types of talents for God, please contact Pastor Rick.

Puppets - We also have an excellent puppet ministry called “GOD’S MINI MES”, which give our students an opportunity to experience presenting the message of Christ in a whole new medium.  They are involved in multiple performances during the year as well as enter a nationwide competition each spring in Denver.  It is a great place to give access to a whole new way to use your talents for God.

Each year the music ministry is involved in exciting life-changing seasonal productions.  The Living Christmas Tree is a major draw for the Pueblo community.  For further information or if you are interested in becoming a part of the Temple Worship and Arts ministry, call the church office 561.1512.
