The real "ministers" at Temple are the volunteers! The truth is, the role of pastors in the church is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:2).
Many people don't realize that for an average Sunday service to happen it takes around 90 people serving in some capacity! The purpose of a Sunday service isn't for a bunch of spectators to show up, sit in the seats, and watch the "professionals" perform. We are the Body of Christ, and as it says in 1 Corinthians 12:27, "All of you together are Christ's body, and each of you is a part of it."
Our desire is that each person at Temple would be fulfilling their part in the Body. We find that when we are fullfilling our part, we are fulfilled! If you are looking to be a part of something, we've got a place for you! Below you will find listed some of our ministries and the people who lead them.
Ardy Wood leads the Care Team which ministers to elderly and shut ins on a regular basis by visiting them, hosting occasional events, and sending cards. She also heads up the "Good News
Club" at nearby Heritage Elementary school which is an afterschool program that shares the love of Jesus with children outside of a church program.
Contact her through the church office.
Steve Mollenhauer leads our AWANA ministry to kids on Wednesday nights. Along with his wife Lisa, Steve makes sure that not only do children learn Bible verses, but that they also see and experience what it means to put those principles into action.
